BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Dec. 14, 2010) – James T. McManus, Chairman and CEO of Energen Corp., has been elected Chairman of the Board of the Birmingham Business Alliance. McManus succeeds C. Dowd Ritter, who was the BBA’s first chairman. Also elected were members of the BBA’s 2011 Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Each serves a one-year term.

“I am also fortunate to follow the BBA’s first Chairman, Dowd Ritter, who played such an important role in forming the Birmingham Business Alliance.  His guidance and counsel helped shape the organization and his service is greatly appreciated,” said McManus.
