Business Councils

 

The Birmingham Business Alliance is committed to providing services and programs that help to grow your business. Our business councils offer businesses with similar interests a forum for networking that may ultimately lead to partnerships throughout the region.

Birmingham Regional Enterprise Council

As designed by the BBA’s 5-year strategic plan, Blueprint Birmingham, the BREC is comprised of representatives from each of the BBA Business Councils and roundtables to augment and better coordinate regional small business and entrepreneurial assistance.  For more information on the BREC, please contact sbc@birminghambusinessalliance.net.  The BREC can be found in section 9.1 of Blueprint Birmingham.

African-American Business Council

Organization of African American BBA members who meet monthly to network, share business information, formulate solutions to business challenges as well as offer regional business enhancement recommendations to the BBA's Board of Directors. Hispanic Business Council

The council assists Hispanic-owned businesses and Hispanic business professionals through networking and educational activities. It offers a forum for sharing business information and seeks to increase awareness of the growing Hispanic population within the Birmingham region. The HBC hosts an annual Gala and scholarship in the spring. CLICK HERE to register now! Small Business Council

The members of the council are responsible for coordinating seminars that support the growth and development of small business as well as plan Small Business Week -- a celebration of the creativity and energy of entrepreneurs during the second week of May. Small Business Week creates awareness of the significant contributions that small businesses make to our economy. Committee membership is open to those that desire to promote small business and entrepreneurship and are willing to contribute to the success of the council.
