In his role as Vice President of Business Development for the Birmingham Business Alliance, Victor Brown works to impact business growth among major employers in the seven-county Birmingham region in partnership with economic development allies, business resource partners and his BBA colleagues. Victor’s work centers around an intentional approach to identify companies in traditional, emerging and underrepresented industry sectors that are currently experiencing job growth and making capital investments.
Victor is charged with providing business development support to startups, early stage companies, small, minority- and women-owned businesses, medium-sized companies and large corporations. To do so, he takes part in a myriad of Business Retention and Expansion visits, the focus of which is to identify jobs, capital investment and growth through supply chain strategies and best practices. He also mentors and coaches startups and early stage companies and serves as the primary contact at the BBA for the Alabama Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, the Small Business Administration (SBA), Alabama Launchpad and a number of other resource partners who support and promote business growth and development.
Prior to his career at the BBA, Victor had a long career in the financial services industry. He holds a BBA from Georgia State University.
