A new year – and a new decade – is upon us, and Forbes is predicting that 2020 will start out well for the Birmingham job market.

The publication included Birmingham in its top 10 most promising job markets based on net employment outlook for the first quarter of 2020, with the Magic City posting a 21 percent net employment outlook for Q1.

The Southeastern United States as a whole is the region with the most promising job market outlook for 2020, according to ManpowerGroup North America, a Milwaukee-based global staffing firm that conducted the Employment Outlook Survey from which the data from the Forbes piece was pulled.
