Caroline Mungenast

Caroline Mungenast is the Manager of Economic Development at the Birmingham Business Alliance (BBA).

She drives initiatives to promote regional growth and economic prosperity. In this role, she leads both external and internal efforts to support the Greater Birmingham Region's business ecosystem.

Externally, Caroline oversees the Birmingham Regional Economic Development Allies group and coordinates industry events focused on retention, ecosystem development, and talent retention. Internally, she ensures organizational efficiency by preparing quarterly and annual reports for key partners, maintaining regional property listings on the statewide database, managing the team’s travel schedule and meetings, and tracking key goals and performance metrics.

A key aspect of Caroline's role is cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders, including site consultants, real estate professionals, utility partners, and elected officials, to facilitate job creation, business expansion, and attraction.

In addition to her work at the BBA, Caroline serves as Secretary of the Industrial Development Board, Director of Made in BHM, and is a member of the Rotaract Club of Birmingham. She joined the BBA in 2022 after earning degrees in public relations and business from Auburn University. Caroline lives in Homewood and is happily married to her husband, Joseph.
