PNC Bank Launches Mobile Branch at Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank

PNC Bank will officially debut its mobile branch program in Birmingham on Oct. 8, introducing an easier way for those in need to bank. Representatives from PNC and the City of Birmingham will introduce the mobile branch on Oct. 8 at 9 a.m. outside Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank, located at 1430 Reverend Abraham Woods Jr Blvd., Birmingham 35203).The 30-foot “bank on wheels” will follow a dedicated biweekly route throughout Birmingham, bringing critical resources to communities with limited access to financial services.

To deliver these services, PNC is partnering with multiple organizations in the city, including Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank, Alabama Goodwill Industries, The Dannon Project and Daniel Payne Legacy Village. Visitors to the PNC mobile branch can conduct banking transactions, such as opening accounts and applying for credit or loans, in the same way they would at a traditional branch. Mobile branch staff also provide financial education to people who need more assistance and support to reach their financial goals.Birmingham is the eleventh market across PNC’s coast-to-coast footprint to welcome a dedicated mobile branch since the program debuted in 2020. Other cities include Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Cleveland and Houston.
