JC’s focus is on attracting capital investment and creating new jobs in the seven-county Greater Birmingham Region. His targeted industries include food and beverage, advanced manufacturing, automotive, technology, distribution and logistics.
He has worked in economic development for over 10 years and assisted in attracting $4.5 billion in capital development, created over 5500 jobs, and supported over 150 small businesses.
He attended Austin Peay State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in public management. JC also has his Master’s degree from Bethel University, which focuses on business administration. He has also graduated from professional studies at the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, playing fantasy football and listening to audiobooks.

In 1993, Mercedes-Benz chose Alabama as the home for its exclusive U.S. assembly plant, launching the mobility industry. Since then, automotive giants such as Honda, Hyundai, Toyota and Mazda, alongside a growing network of mobility suppliers, have joined Alabama’s vehicle manufacturing industry. Most recently, Autocar, a maker of heavy-duty work trucks, also began production in Birmingham.
