
Now Open: Match For Impact Grant Applications
Are you a small business owner in the Greater Birmingham Region looking for scalable opportunities for 2026 and beyond? The Birmingham Business Alliance (BBA), in partnership with Innovate Alabama, is here to connect you with the resources and relationships that drive growth.
Now through November 15, applications are open for the BBA’s Match for Impact Grant, a competitive opportunity designed to help high-potential small businesses scale. The BBA will award a minimum of $40,000 in services to each selected business through a qualified Service Provider that can accelerate and execute the company’s growth plan.
Each grant is customized to meet the applicant’s specific business needs. The BBA’s Small Business team will work directly with each awardee to identify the right partners and strategies to achieve measurable results.
The selection process is competitive and open to all small businesses across the seven-county, Greater Birmingham Region. While participation in BBA programs such as Small Business Intensive, Supplier Scale, or Team Up is not required, businesses actively engaged with the BBA and its resource partners will receive priority consideration.

What to Expect After Completing the Application?
Internal Review of Applicants and Service Providers:
Following the application deadline, the BBA will conduct an internal review to evaluate applicants and identify qualified service providers for potential matches.
Service Provider Recipient Interviews & Matching Process:
Selected applicants will be invited to participate in interviews to ensure the best alignment between businesses and service providers.
Award Announcements & Celebration:
After the matching process concludes, award recipients will be announced, and a formal recognition ceremony will be held in January 2026 to celebrate the selected companies and their partners.
