USA Today: The Farmer’s Market at Pepper Place ranked 7th Overall in the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards

The Market at Pepper Place is a popular farmers market located in the Pepper Place complex in the Lakeview District. It was founded in 2000 to connect Alabama farmers and food producers with local consumers, chefs, and restaurants, and it has been a staple ever since. 

It has been a huge part of Birmingham’s local food, artist and maker scene, serving as a community hub on Saturday mornings. 

In 2024, the Birmingham Business Alliance hosted freelance journalist Michele Herrmann on a media visit, which ultimately helped The Market at Pepper Place earn this recognition.
