Bham Now | Who’s fueling Birmingham’s business success? Find out now.

At the Birmingham Business Alliance (BBA), our business is to serve businesses across our seven-county region. We are the voice of business and industry and aid to support innovation, create new jobs, drive capital investments and keep The Magic City moving forward.

As the region’s chamber of commerce and economic development organization, the BBA is working every day to attract new companies, support existing businesses and foster industries that shape our future in the industries of bioscience, technology, metal and mobility. From guiding site selection to sharing Birmingham’s story on the national stage, we’re ensuring our region is positioned as a competitive, collaborative place to grow.

An example of this is Stella Source, a Birmingham-based company that has shown what innovation looks like across the technology and steel industry. Bridging the gap between traditional manufacturing and e-commerce, Stella Source has shown what’s possible when industry meets innovation and answers to a growing need.

But, what happened when Stella Source started to outgrow its space at Innovation Depot and started to look at expansion options? That’s where the BBA came in.

Stella Source considered several cities for relocation, Cincinnati being one of them. But Birmingham stood out, not just for its rich manufacturing history, but for its forward-thinking and innovative ecosystem, in combination with community and business partners, proving that Birmingham is open and a great place to do business.

But, don’t take it just from us! Watch the video testimonial from Stella Source Vice President of Growth and Strategy Dr. Lindsay Barnes below. Here, she shares her experience of working with the BBA and other regional partners to make Stella Source’s expansion possible.

Additionally, we partnered with Bham Now to further amplify our voice and tell the story of what the BBA does locally and regionally for the Birmingham business community. From recent project announcements and ribbon cuttings to networking events and national media placements, you can get further insight into the work that we do every day.
