Trinity Design Group Celebrates Major Expansion with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The Trinity Design Group, a leader in industrial packaging, welding, and custom engineering, celebrated a major milestone yesterday with the grand opening of its 30,000 square foot facility expansion. The ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the company’s headquarters in Pell City, Alabama, and drew support from regional leaders in business, economic development, and government.

Special guests included representatives from the Pell City Chamber of Commerce, St. Clair County Economic Development Council (EDC), Birmingham Business Alliance, Servis 1st Bank, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and the City of Pell City. The event also welcomed the members of the current Leadership St. Clair County class, who began their “Economic Development Day” with a guided tour of the expanded facility.

Victor Brown, Small Business Director at the Birmingham Business Alliance, reflected on Trinity’s resilience.

“My relationship with Fernando Valentin and The Trinity Design Group goes back to 2004, near the very beginning of the company. Over more than two decades, BBA has had the privilege of supporting Trinity’s journey—from operating out of Fernando’s home, to its early expansion in Bessemer, and now to this significant facility investment in Pell City. This expansion represents not only Fernando’s steady leadership and vision, but also the power of long-term partnership."

BBA was proud to work alongside the St. Clair County Economic Development Council on the retention effort that kept Trinity rooted in the Birmingham region, and today’s milestone is a testament to what sustained collaboration and commitment can achieve.”

President and CEO Fernando Valentin addressed those gathered, emphasizing the company’s people-first culture.

“What makes us strong in our craft—our technical skills and precision—comes from our culture,” said Valentin. “We speak life into our team. We don’t just aim to build better racks or better systems—we aim to build better people. That’s how we grow, and that’s how we leave a mark—in our work and in our community.”

The new expansion doubles Trinity’s footprint to 60,000 square feet and allows for increased operational capacity, new equipment, and enhanced workflows—all while maintaining the company’s core commitment to impact, excellence, and employee well-being.
